To configure the options available in vTill press on the Options button on the main vTill page. This will display the following form.
The options currently available relate to the printing of receipts and should be used as follows:
- Print Receipt on...: This option should be checked if you want to print receipts when entering a sale or refund. You should select the receipt printer using the Select Printer option.
- Receipt Header: This should be completed with the text you wish to print at the top of each of your receipts (e.g. your Organisation's name, address, contact details and VAT number).
- Receipt Footer: This should be completed with the text you wish to print at the bottom of each of your receipts (e.g. a message thanking them for their visit).
When you have finished making the changes press the OK button to save the changes.
What receipt printers do you support?
We can only currently offer full support for the Epson TM-T88IV receipt printer. This is a full featured thermal receipt printer which can be linked to a cash drawer in such a way that the drawer automatically opens when a receipt is printed. vTill should work with other EPSON receipt printer using the same printer driver and other makes of receipt printer. However we are not in a position to offer full support for these products as we do not have other models available to us. For more information on how to install a receipt printer please click here.
What changes can I make to the format of the receipt?
In addition to specifying a header and footer for the receipt (see above) the drivers for some printers allow you to configure the printer defaults to change the format of a printed receipt (e.g. to print a logo at the start of each receipt and change the font used) and more information can be found by clicking here.
