There is very little planning required before you start to use Booking Pro but we would recommend that you do the following before starting to use the system.
- Make a list of your standard prices and the facilities you have available for hire.
- Group the facilities together in a logical way (e.g. classrooms, pitches, tennis courts). Creating groups of facilities means that they appear in the facility list together and is particularly useful when you want to allow the system to automatically allocate the first available facility from the group.
- Make a list of the dates on which the facilities are closed or on which you charge higher rates (e.g. public holidays).
- Make a list of all the bookings you have taken for future dates and the details (e.g. name, address, contact details) of each hirer.
Once you have gathered together the above information you will be ready to start setting up Booking Pro.
When you sign-in to Booking Pro for the first time you must use the username and password used when the database was created. Once you have signed in, Booking Pro provides a Setup Checklist which will help ensure that you carry out the necessary steps in the right order. This checklist can also be display at a later time by using the Setup Checklist option on the View menu. The Setup Checklist is shown below:

Clicking on any of the buttons or links will guide you to the part of the system that you need to use next. These are as follows:
- Configure the defaults you wish Booking Pro to use
- Enter your prices
- Setup any facility groups and the facilities you have available for hire
- Start entering bookings
