The price list in Booking Pro is based on two key elements: Price Bands and Price Groups and it is important to understand the subtle difference between the two. Essentially Price Bands are used to identify the prices Hirers are normally charged whilst Price Groups are used to identify the prices charged for a facility. The difference is best illustrated with the following example:

As you can see form the above examples Price Bands are closely related to types of Hirer whilst the Price Groups are related to the types of facility that you have available for hire.

This can be further illustrated using the following price list.

FACILITIESSTANDARD PRICEYOUTH/
COMMUNITY PRICE
Sports Hall£48.00 per hour£32.00 per hour
Badminton Court£12.00 per hour£8.00 per hour
Classroom£10.00 per hour£7.00 per hour
etc.........

To set up the above price list in Booking Pro you would need to enter the following:

Again this helps to illustrate that price bands are closely related to types of hirer, whilst price groups are related to the types of facility.

When Booking Pro is installed a single "Standard" price band is setup but you should examine your own price list to make a list of the Price Bands and Price Groups you will need to setup. However if you find yourself listing Price Bands with names related to facilities then please email the Booking Pro Helpdesk for further advice.

Both Price Bands and Price Groups are maintained using the Price List as follows:
