Introduction

vTill is BPR Solutions cash register emulation software for use with Booking Pro. It can be used to support a "Pay & Play" operation which needs to take cash, card and cheque payments from customers using your facilities.

vTill is an an add-on product for Booking Pro and a separate license fee needs to be paid to be able to use it. If you don't have a license to use vTill you will be able to enter a small number of transactions to allow you to trial it.

vTill allows you to do the following:

• Maintain a price list detailing the charges you make for using your facilities and any items you sell.
• Record details of sales and refunds made to customers including the charges made and the method of payment (i.e. cash, card and cheque).
• Record the payment of pre-arranged bookings
• Record the payment of invoices you have issued using Booking Pro.
• Print detailed receipts.
• Keep detailed records of cash added to the till together with cash, card and cheque transactions removed from the till.
• Reconcile the transactions entered into vTill against the contents of your cash drawer.
• Keep track of the VAT charged on all transactions.

vTill can be used with the following additional hardware:

• A receipt printer, such as the Epson TM-T88IV, to print receipts to be given to customers paying to use your facilities.
• A cash drawer, either standalone or electronic so that when linked to the receipt printer it can automatically open when a receipt is printed.
• A touch screen display to minimise the use of the keyboard and mouse.
• A standalone terminal for accepting credit/debit card payments.

Opening vTill

vTill is opened using the vTill button on the Booking Pro toolbar.

When vTill opens it displays the following:

The vTill display is made up of the following:

• A "Transaction Summary" showing the details for the current sale or refund
• A "Price List" providing an easily selected list of prices
• A panel of buttons used to select the tasks you will need to carry out (e.g. select a sale or refund, pay for a booking, add and remove cash from the till)

vTill is extremely easy to setup and use and is used as follows:

• Installing a receipt printer
• Setting Up and Maintaining the vTill Price List
• Configuring vTill Options
• Recording a Sale or Refund
• Adding and Removing Cash from vTill
• Reconciling vTill

Why does vTill use big buttons and text?

vTill uses big buttons and text to make it easier to use with a touch screen display. This can be particularly useful in a busy environment as it reduces the use of the mouse and keyboard and makes the entry of transactions quicker and easier.

How do I setup security on vTill?

Security is setup on vTill using Booking Pro's Security page. This allows you to control which Users can open the till. You can find out how to use the security page by clicking here.

Can I stop a User carrying out certain tasks (e.g. reconciliation)?

You can control access to certain tasks in vTill using the Security page by selecting the User and pressing the "Add" button to select those tasks to which you want to grant specific permission.
